PRODUCER // AUSTRALIAN THEATRE FESTIVAL NYC

Jillian is one of the co-founders of the Australian Theatre Festival NYC. From 2020 to 2024, she served as a co-Artistic Director for the company.

The event is an annual celebration of Australian stories and artists and aims to create opportunities for an exchange of culture through the presentation of diverse theatrical content. By showcasing Australian artists, the festival connects Australians living in New York and cultivates their development on a global stage.

In her role, Jillian worked to administer the annual New Play Award since its inception and served as a producer on five years of festival events, as well as three fundraising galas.

During her time with the festival, the company transitioned to a non-profit and worked closely with the Australian Consulate General, the American Australian Association, Parched Hospitality Group, AWNY, and America Josh.

While at the festival, Jillian worked closely with Australian arts leaders such as Andrew Bovell, Wesley Enoch, Shane and Cathryn Brennan, Caroline O’Connor, and Eddie Perfect. Jillian also helped to produce new work by playwrights Lewis Treston, Melissa-Kelly Franklin, Jamie Hornsby, Richard Jordan, Alexander Hodge, Hannah Belanzsky and Sally Alrich-Smythe.
